Theme and What is it?
You are stuck in the middle of a time war. You and your opponent have some of the best generals from history on your side. Use your clever tactics to manipulate the battlefield into favoring your side of the time war.
Each turn you will play one card to initiate a battle command for yourself and for your opponent. Then all command cards still visible will activate one at a time. Draw a replacement card and wait to watch your opponent to turn the tide again. Simple! But the tactics run deep.
The entire box fits in my hand. Not small enough for a pants pocket but possibly a jacket pocket. It does require a flat surface to play on but is supremely portable. Looks like a quick 2 player tactical game you can take most places.
Game Build Quality
It is exactly what I would expect from a game that is intended as a 2 player filler or a portable game. Simple common components with a main board folds small for portability. But that leads to my only minor complaint: the board does not lay flat easily when first unpacked.
The art is in a cartoon style. The board makes you think of green army men fake fighting. It is fitting for the theme and light style for the game.
This delivers the perfect amount of fun for a short 2 player filler. Take it out to play while waiting for dinner to arrive. Play it when the third player just cannot arrive on time to game day.
Age Range & Weight
10 seems a bit high. The rules are pretty straightforward and you only have a few cards to play. The number of actions that get executed can ramp up as the game continues so that might be why they thought 10.
If you are looking for more 2 player fillers that are quite fast, Major General: Duel of time makes a solid appearance in the category. Each game can have a different scenario twist to keep things fresh.
